Today was our last day of the conference. We spent it together, learning how to interpret the bible with different “lenses” on. We then left to travel back to our placements.

Today was the second day of our conference, we spent the day exploring York, and capped the evening off with a church service at York Minster. The York Minster is the second most important cathedral in England for the Church of England Hierarchy, behind the cathedral at Canterbury.

Today I traveled to York for my YAGM – United Kingdom Conference. We spent the day catching up and chatting about how our years had been going with Time for God staff.

Today we had our church service, I gave the children’s sermon, check out the link for more information. Following the service I traveled to Bridlington. There was no youth club tonight, so we spent the rest of the day there.

Today was my day off, I spent the day with a parishioner, helping them prepare and then execute a dinner party they were hosting. They were celebrating living 30 years in their house! It was a wonderful event and I was able to meet so many people.

Today was my day off. I had dinner that evening with Ian (my mentor), Adrian and his wife. Adrian was a former Time for God Volunteer at St Andrew’s.

Today we had a meeting with the Time for God Field Officer to go over how the year has been going so far. I had various meetings the rest of the day.

Today we spent the day cleaning up the church grounds. We trimmed, weeded, and tidied up all around making the church more beautiful. I had lunch with a parishioner and in the evening I hung out with Aaron one of my friends.

Today was an exciting day for us, first off Ann Jones had a Clothing Dryer delivered, the day was full of smiles as we unpackaged it and I installed it for her. In the evening I attended the Leeds Light Festival.

Today I had toddlers in the morning. Followed by the bi-weekly meeting with my supervisors. After this we joined Church Lunch for a meeting about the older part of Jr Church (11-15) (16-18) to plan the revitalization of it. In the evening we had Eco Club followed by “German Hotdog Evening” which was about the German Partnership and the 2020 German Trip they where planning.

Today, Beverley and I went and spoke at Roundhay St John’s Church of England Primary School. In the afternoon we completed various administrative tasks.

Today was my day off. I spent it with one of my close friends, and an Elder at the Church Catherine (Cathy ) Henderson. We traveled to Bradford, and visited Salts Mill. There was also a famous art gallery featuring work from David Hockney.

Today was the churches “Vision Day” which is a follow up meeting examining what the church is doing and where it wants to go in the future. After the vision day I traveled to Harrogate with Ann (My Host Lady) to visit her mother and have afternoon tea.

Today was my day off and I am currently sick. I went to the neighboring church St Edmunds to watch them celebrate brining in more lay readers to the Church of England.
