I had the opportunity to lead the Ash Wednesday service at St Andrew’s this year utilizing aspects of the Lutheran Tradition to share with my host community.
For the service, we used the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy that is written by Marty Haugen.
This evening prayer service was attending by over 30 people from the congregation, allowing us to worship together to not only mark the start of the Lent season, but we were able to stand alongside each other in prayer, and worship. This service was very moving for the people in the congregation that attended.
