Readings for this Sunday are:
Mathew 1 18-25
In the sermon for today, we learned about how every day can be Christmas, and not the commercialized version but the biblical version. In the reading for today we learn about the angled coming to Joseph telling him of God’s command, which was followed by Joseph. The takeaway from today’s sermon was that Joseph believed and obeyed. His faith resulted in an act of submission to God and an act of mercy and compassion. Looking into our own lives, we can see God the father acting in all sorts of different ways. We trust what he is saying to us, telling us to do, and with that belief and trust. We can also commit acts of mercy and compassion to our fellow humans, and by doing so, we can have “Christmas” every day.
